Deposits & Booking Info:

Do you have a minimum & maxiumum for parties?

Yes- I limit my personal bookings to a maximum of 6 in a bridal party. If a bride is wanting to book a larger party and my 2nd stylist is available on the desired date, a minimum party of 9 is required to secure the booking.

A minimum of 3 paid services is also required for booking between June and October. If your party is smaller than 3 and you would still like to go ahead with booking, you may cover the fee for 3 guests with your smaller party.

What is your deposit fee and how do I pay it if I would like to book my wedding?

Deposits are $20.00 per person in your party. This is paid by e-transfer to my business email. Your booking will not be secured until the deposit is paid.

Are deposits refundable, and what is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are nonrefundable unless I myself have to cancel a booking for any reason, then it will be refunded to you.

I believe fully that every bride, as well as myself as the stylist, should have the right to be fully confident we are working with the right people. Because of this, my brides are able to cancel their contracts at any time if they feel we are not a good fit. I do however have cancellation fees within a certain date before a wedding, which you are held legally liable to by contract. There are no penalty fees for cancelling a contract outside of the cancellation timeline listed in the contract,

Do you charge an early start fees?

Early start fees are entirely dependent on the start time and the travel distance to the getting ready location. If an early start fee is applicable to your booking, it will be listed in the personal estimate you receive.

Brides can also opt to cover the fee for my lodging close to the getting ready location the night before instead of an early start fee.

What does the booking process look like?

Head to the Booking Form page and submit all of the required information. I will respond as quickly as possible with your estimate. If you decide you would like to go forward with booking, you will then send your deposit by e-transfer and your date will then be secured. I will take the information from your Booking Form and add that to the contract, which is then sent to you through on online e-signature website. After this you can email me your inspo photos which I will add to your file. From there communication is left open for any questions and booking your hair preview if you are booking one. I contact all clients 1 month, and then 1 week before their wedding to make sure everything is in order for the wedding day (and the day before if I need a room number from you).

How far in advance should I book my wedding & do you book year round?

Don't wait if your date is available! Bookings begin are often made up until a year and a half in advance for some brides, so if you know you want to book your wedding, do it ASAP! Bookings are not considered secure until a deposit has been paid.

I take bookings all year round, on any day of the week.

Hair Preview:

Where and when are hair trials done?

I currently offer hair trials out of a salon in Bracebidge and only on Mondays. I also offer to travel to a location of your choosing. Travel fees do apply if you'd like me to come to you, and I also have a distance restriction for hair trials when travelling (within an hour of Orillia).

When should I book my trial?

Trials can be booked at any time before your wedding, but I generally advise booking two months before it. This allows for ample time to make any desired changes, but is also close enough to the wedding that your hair will be in the closest condition that it will be in for the wedding day.

Do you offer a package that includes a hair trial?

Yes! The Day Of + Hair Preview Package for $380.00 includes your hair trial. This package offers an exclusive discount of $20.00 off the regular trial fee of $200.00.

How long does a trial take?

Expect your trial to take up to 2 hours. A consultation can take up to 20 minutes of time. Then I will prep the hair and style which, depending on the style, can take up to 1.5 hours. You can look over your style and we can make any adjustments if needed. I will take pictures to add to your file and then you are free to go!

Can I change my mind about a style after my trial?

Absolutely, and it's actually more common to change your mind then you might think! Often brides fall in love with a hairstyle they see online, and then realize they just don't feel themselves with it and want to change it to something else for the wedding. If this is the case, you can either book another trial, or just pick the new style you want to settle on for the wedding day without a re-trial. If you want to book another trial, you will have to pay the full trial fee again.

Logistics & Travel Information:

Do you work with other stylists?

Yes! I have a second stylist dependent on her availability for parties larger than 5. Please note that adding a second stylist will increase the travel fee to cover for her travel expenses.

What should my schedule look like?

I do not do a time stamped schedule as everyone is different and takes a different amount of time. I will have each bride create an order that each client will be going in, and on the wedding day each person should know their place in that order so they are prepared for their appointment when I am ready for them. Brides will go somewhere between the middle and end of that order, but never last. This is to ensure if we do run late for any reason, we are not rushing the brides style - that one as to be perfected!

Will my hairstyle last all day?

I ensure every technique, as well as high end products and styling tools are utilized for the longevity of each style.

That said, I do no offer a promise or guarantee that every style will last the entire day. There are many factors that may affect the longevity of a style including rain, sweating, extremely high winds, the dressing process, a person's tendency to play with and touch their hair frequently, etc. Some circumstances and weather conditions are beyond my control, or the control of hairspray. That being said, every single effort is made to ensure each style lasts as long as possible despite conditions.

Do you have a backup stylist?

It is important to note that I work independently, and not with a team. While I have connections to other stylists who may be available to help in an emergency, I do not have an official backup stylist for my weddings. If a situation

What is required of me as the bride?

All I require is a low back chair at normal height (no bar stools), and a spacious area with an outlet close by - bonus if it has great lighting and a table to set some things on!

Do you accomodate product allergies?

I do not. If someone has any product allergies, they are free to bring their own products for me to use on them - if this happens, they will be fully liable for the final outcome of the style and how that style holds throughout the day.

Can someone decide on the day of if they want their hair done?

Absolutely - but this will be fully reliant on how much time is left between me finishing the last person already on the schedule, and when the added person needs to be finished their hair. If there is time, I am always willing to take on more clients. If this happens, the added person must pay for their appointment upfront and before their appointment begins, either in cash or by e-transfer.

What should I do for hair prep?

I include a hair care and prep guide for every bride who books their wedding with me, which will be sent to you by email!

Do you travel, how far, and what are the fees?

I am an on-location stylist only. I travel within a 1.5 hour radius of Orillia, though sometimes I make exceptions to the distance based on the location (I often travel to the Peterborough area). In some cases, if a bride is wanting to hire me but is outside of my travel distance radius, I may accept the job if they are willing to cover overnight accommodations somewhere that is close to their location, as well as the travel fee.

I charge $1.50 per KM one way.

Extensions & Hair Types:

Do you recommend extensions, and if so, which ones should I use?

For bridal styles, I almost always recommend extensions - I personally find the overall look and fullness they add to each style, as well as the way they aid in making a style last so much longer, makes them worth the purchase! And if you are someone with fine, thin hair (bride or bridal party member), they would definitely be a great addition to your hairstyle!

I only apply clip-in hair extensions, and they absolutely must be human hair - I will not work with any type of synthetic hair. There is a $20.00 installation fee for anyone who wants them added to their style.

You are free to source your own clip extensions, but I also have a company I order from which range from $100.00 to $250.00 per set, depending on the length and how many grams of hair you need.

Do you work with all hair types?

While I am open to working with all hair types, I don't have experience working with all hair types. If you are a bride, or have someone in your wedding party, who would like to have their hair styled with their natural texture, I suggest finding inspo pictures using the same hair texture, and then come to the wedding day having done your full haircare routine for your own hair texture/type.
